and the gown fit me perfectly! it didn't need alterations at all. and hey, i looked like i had boobs. nyahahaha! amazing...
merl and i started discussing about the artwork that will be placed on my gown, and i love the design i chose. it was so dainty and so elegant. i'm way excited! and the gowns of my entourage were just beautiful! of course, my mom had to change her mind about her gown and is now totally changing the design. sheesh! you'd think she's the bride. but the new design i chose for her is gorgeous. she's going to be one hot mama on my wedding day. hee!
our next fittings will be in february na. turns out that my designer is getting married end of this month in new york. wowowooo! a wedding in new york! well, it's actually a civil wedding, then they're off to italy for their honeymoon. can i just drool with envy? i'm so happy for merl!
till the next fitting...
if i may backtrack a little...
saturday was spent on the road to the countryside! schmuck's folks, my folks, schmuck and i, and schmuck's baby sis matet all went to tiaong, quezon in search of our souvenirs for the principal sponsors.
we visited the house of ugu bigyan, a highly acclaimed ceramics artist. i think i previously posted his being a sculptor, so i stand corrected. his house was beautiful! it was filled with so much of his artwork, and blended beautifully with the nature feel of the place.
there we found the perfect gift for our principal sponsors. we saw a pot that is placed on a molave wood stand, and it was so nice. we got celadon pots for the ninangs, and blue pots for the ninongs.
last saturday, that's when i also learned a small lesson on compromise. i posted before that i wanted orchids as our souvenirs. oh, and schmuck's folks are footing the bill for the souvenirs. well, it seems that these orchid growers can't quote a final price until a week before the wedding. with the recent typhoons, the quality of orchids are not so nice and the orchid growers suffered a beating, i guess. which means that we were at their mercy. if they quote us P500 a week before the wedding, then we're dead. and poor, for that matter.
so anyhoo, schmuck's folks didn't close out my wish of having orchids as souvenirs. they still left the decision to me. however, they looked at other options too. at ugu's place, they saw these clay leaves that served as candle holders. i wasn't very happy with it, since i was set on orchids. but schmuck liked it. better than my orchids. and so i let go of my orchids, and went with what schmuck wanted.
besides, it's his wedding too.
as you've noticed, things are quite hectic around here. i've also gotten off the panic train. things are much too busy for me that i don't even have time to panic. haha!
the only thing we weren't able to accomplish from last weekend's agenda was visiting tito jessie. he had to go to this affair, and he got home very late already. so schmuck set our visit to this saturday.
our agenda for this coming weekend:
saturday - trial makeup with julian of fringe & co at 10am; go to san agustin to get confirmation certificate; visit tito jessie, one of our principal sponsors
sunday - lunch at tita chiqui's (the anti-color motiff lady!); go to spyder to check out invites
another busy weekend coming up!
ok, gotta rest now. i'm poofed.
